My 21 year old niece Paige is
a senior at St. Bonaventure University. She does what’s called “slam poetry”.
Yeah, I didn’t know what that was either:
A poetry slam is a competition at which poets read or
recite original work. These performances are then judged on a numeric scale by
previously selected members of the audience.
But don’t click away from the
word “poetry”. Paige’s performance more like a comedy routine than any poetry
you’ve heard.
